Meet the TeamCarl N. Neggers, Chief Executive Officer
Carl brings over 30 years of strategic and sustainable management experience to the SM Solutions team. He has worked with federal and provincial ministries, the hospitality industry, accounting firms, professional sports franchises and environmental service companies helping to restructure and streamline their practices towards a more self-reliant, sustainable and profitable future. Most recently, as CEO of Stark & Marsh Chartered Accountants, LLP he lead the firm in strategic transformation and a revitalization of their governance framework. Prior to this, Carl was the Director General of the federal government's Prairie Farm Rehabilitation Administration (PFRA). Serving western Canada, PFRA is an internationally recognized agency, which addresses the sustainable resource development challenges faced by agriculture and rural Canadians. Carl also served as Executive Director of the Saskatchewan Agri-Food Equity Fund, working with entrepreneurs in the development and commercialization of their innovative products and services. As Assistant Deputy Minister of Saskatchewan’s Department of Highways and Transportation, Carl led the development of the provincial submission to the comprehensive review of the Canada Transportation Act (CTA), including a position on transportation infrastructure financing. Lynn brings 30 years of advertising and marketing experience to the SM Solutions team. Over the course of her career, Lynn has served in all aspects of publishing; design, editing, marketing, ad sales, circulation and overall management. WOW Graphics is a network of talented, experienced and energetic colleagues with specialized skills in the areas of graphic design, copywriting, website development, and project management. |
Tony Baumgartner, Senior Business Advisor
Tony Baumgartner joined SM Solutions following a thirty-four year career with the public service. His career included over 20 years service and a wide variety of assignments within the natural resources sector followed by fourteen years in the economic development portfolio. Most notably, this included seven years as Vice President, leading Sector Development and Investment Attraction for Enterprise Saskatchewan. In this capacity, Tony's experiences include working with some of Saskatchewan's largest businesses, representing the province in discussions involving corporate investment and expansion plans, troubleshooting problems and expediting government responses to address complex business problems. Over the course of his career, Tony has also served in various senior leadership roles, addressing key government resource allocation initiatives, including; Provincial Wood Supply Reallocation, Negotiation of Forest Management Agreements, Saskatchewan representative on negotiations with the United States regarding Softwood Lumber Trade, Forest Nursery Decommissioning and Sale, Negotiation of Saskatchewan's First Forest Carbon Sequestration Contract. His areas of particular expertise include: strategic planning and leadership, organizational design and build, change management, business problem identification and planning, and economic development. Tony holds both, a Bachelor of Administration and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Regina. Great things start with a conversation!
